About Us

I was raised by a woman that spent her life teaching people to sew. She taught people in White Hall Illinois to make what they called piece work. One person would put zippers another collars and sew on until everyone had a job to make the garments ready to ship. The garments were made for Johnathon Logan Clothing, of New York. The short cuts and techniques that were taught by my Mother to speed up the job, so the workers could make money.
These techniques were not taught in any book that I am aware of. I love passing the techniques on in my classes. I teach how to do so many wonderful shortcuts that leave a professional finish.
My love of people and fabric has led me into the shop I now own. I purchased the building May 20, 2020. After much money and time and hard work the exterior looks wonderful. Thanks for everyone that helped make it happen.

I have award winning quilts appraised by quilt appraiser from Chicago. I have taught ladies to make them in quilting and embroidery classes. I teach on all brand sewing and embroidery machines.
Most brand of Sergers -- classes also offered usually one on one bases.
I was a knit wear designer making over 500 designs to use on knitting machines.
Sold all my knitting equipment and went into quilting and embroidery and never looked back. I will be selling a lot of my sweaters at the shop.
